With the launch of the new commonwoodworking.com site, will we soon be getting back to “Master Classes” on this site?
I have been a member since early 2016 and I find that Paul’s style of teaching and level of expertise is by far the best I have seen. However, as of late, and along with him changing shops I have found that the level of expert training has dropped dramatically. I understand there are many new woodworkers, but do the mid level woodworkers really need to know how a workbench is built again…?
I don’t want to sound like I am complaining as I have already canceled my subscription until more advanced projects come out, but it seems like its been a long time since there a substantial amount of new unique and interested projects with mid level to advanced joinery done on this site. What I mean to say is this site should be dedicated to “Master Classes” and not beginning woodworking.
I know Paul has all of the skills to teach master classes and it would be nice to see him continue to pass on those skills instead of making simple workbenches and wall shelf’s. I do hope my point doesn’t come across as a complaint but rather a request to continue more advanced projects on this site and leave the simple stuff for the new site.
Dan.
I also just posted this earlier today:
I’d like to see something beyond building a coat rack too. I like the shaker style, but I would like to see what it takes to build something more high-end – more elegant.
