I stumbled across a PS you-tube post almost 2 years ago, and have become hooked on hand tool woodworking – really wish I had seen something from Paul years earlier, because it was his simple explanations and clear delivery that gave me the confidence to try my hand at this stuff. While my ambitions are tempered by mt lack of experience, I am really enjoying this! I decided to build a bookcase that was needed for a specific spot in my living room, and it turned out reasonably well – there are mistakes, (which I’ll learn from), but I won’t bother pointing them out.

What wood did you use?

Hey guys – thanks for the compliments. The wood is quarter sawn white oak. I figured I should try to be as authentic to Stickley as possible as that was the inspiration. Looking forward to planning another project.
