Put some rubber bands or o-rings around the ends of the handle to dampen that annoying clank when the handle falls and you’re all set. Looks good!
25 June 2018 at 10:29 am #548752Thanks Harry. I’m really pleased with it. I think it’s a great thing that Paul has done, to put 9 videos out there for free, showing people how they can make their own high quality workbench with everyday timber and a few hand tools. It’s such a contrast from all the other workbench videos on youtube which either feature expensive, hard to acquire wood, lots of large power tools, or both.
Now onto some windows! hahah
25 June 2018 at 11:07 pm #548775First customisation – a planing stop made from a piece of pine, with slots cut to allow it to slide up and down over threaded rods that are housed in some threaded inserts, and held in place with two threaded plastic knobs. Provides a planing stop along the full width of the benchtop and then drops down out of the way.
