Well, I’m very pleased with my first major build, following Pauls instructions. A neighbour was doing up their house and had an old, cheap, pine double bed out the front of their house “going to a good home”. I explained what I wanted it for and they were happy for me to take it away. The majority of the walls were made from the slats, the lid from the headboard and the tills from the sides.

Rowdy – Indeed you should be very pleased! I was following your thread regarding lumber selection and then came upon your build. I am particularly impressed that only 3 months lapsed between your lumber selection post and the final build. It’s beautiful and inspiring me to move forward with my own.

That is a quality build, and an inspiration for us contemplating building one of these.
