Hi all, Just wanted to share with you my first ever project made exclusively by following Paul’s videos, reading his books and applying his truly excellent techniques. Greek pine was used in this project. Lumber was cut, planed, prepared exclusively by hand. I used Paul’s dovetail technique for the sides, attached top using turn buttons, finished off by 5 coats of shellac and buffed with furniture paste wax. I really enjoyed making this small and humble project.
Thank you so much Paul!
Tassos Aristidou from Cyprus
p.s. Thank you also Cristina and Phil Adams! 🙂
Very attractive piece, Tassos. You should be very happy with that for a first project – even for a tenth project! The dovetails look good, the top looks very nice, and the turnbuttons well executed. Congratulations.
Thanks for your comments Diego,
The design came from a foot rest i saw at work (no dovetails or turnbuttons of course) just made out of glued/screwed together Melamine planks (Melamini – in Greek) (if i got that translation right – basically its compressed dense chip-board like wood with a shiny finish).
And yes, construction of a “Paul Sellers” Workbench is definately happening in the near future!
Will definately post that!!!…
Thanks again
Tassos
