Congratulations on your build I’m still contemplating whether or not to build one myself, I already have a tool cabinet with 3 very large drawers on the bottom and I’m full plus all the drawers and cabinets on my three benches are full too. Everything is within hands reach that’s what’s puzzling me about this box it seems that I would have shuffle through everything just to get what I need.
a tool cabinet is perfect until u need the tools out of the shop 🙂 this year i have started a woodworking course so i want all my essential tools with me.
at this pic you can see the small poplar wall hanging cabinet im building there..

I don’t plan on doing any outside work, I’m not a house wright nor a shop fitter nor do I install kitchens and nor do I attend any classes but the only reason I am considering making this is actually two reasons one will I gain any shop real estate, looking at the cabinet now only some wall space and the other would be to sell it. If I were to do any teaching then yes it would come in handy but other than that not really. I suppose it would force me to work with less tools as I know I would be lazy to go digging through the tool box. Who knows I would still like to make one even if it is to sell it but I’m sure I would, I’dd probably end up keeping it and fill it up and free up the other cabinets and just get rid of them altogether. it’s everyones fantasy to own a lot of tools but when you see just how much shop space they take up you don’t have much rooom to move around in then you realise that owning alot isn’t a good thing after all.
yes, in a woodworking course im attending.
