Has anyone seen any hints as to the next Masterclasses series?
The weekend is coming up and I know I’ll need to make a trip for lumber.
@Paul-Sellers
@josephI suspect we’ll be seeing the rocking chair sometime soon but in all honesty I’d like to see all these tools Paul has been discussing in his blog. The mallet, the round sole hand plane, the bow saw, saw vice, donkey ear shooting board, a video on filing crosscut saws etc. I’ll be happy with whatever they choose tho, I’m still reviewing the cane vids as I’m starting three of those this weekend.
I also recall the bow saw was mentioned as a soonish project, tough I think the tools related videos will either be posted on @paul-sellers youtube channel or incorporated into a furniture project.
just my 2ct

6 January 2014 at 3:45 pm #25365Sorry to keep you all on edge, we’re just getting back up to speed with everything after the holidays.
Following on from the bench stool, we thought it would be good to go through the making of wooden planes, such as the curved-sole plane Paul used when carving the top of the stool.
We will be getting an intro page and video up over the next few days so we’re all prepared for what’s ahead.
I hope that works for everyone, I’m looking forward to the year full of woodworking that’s ahead.
6 January 2014 at 7:52 pm #25390i look forward to this series i did have a go at following Pauls Blog post but it didn’t go according to plan its not a total disaster but some video footage will help me out massively bring it on 🙂
6 January 2014 at 8:10 pm #25394Really looking forward to this too. I wanted to make a wood plane. I finally got a wedge arm, wooden plough plane and it sparked an interest. Now I have a wooden transitional jointer too. I’m not sure about the metal work for the iron. I am so far behind on projects. I have to finish the tool chest. Need to redo the lid, didn’t go so well….
6 January 2014 at 8:38 pm #25396Thanks so much! The bottom panel is a bit off, but its the bottom! I want to top to look better. The project that was so difficult for me was the bread board! I used soft maple, maybe that wasn’t the best choice! That was tough! I want to try the coffee table too.
