Has any body any thoughts on what the next project might be,
My preference would be for a smaller one than the likes of the tool cabinet or the bookcase. I would like a project that was made in a hardwood but started off as sawn board that Paul took us through the process from start to finish just using hand toolsI’m hoping that Paul will do some sort of dining chair; we desperately need some new dining chairs at my house 😀
I understand what you mean about starting from rough stock but Paul has pretty much covered that in his free videos although I’d love it if he dealt with how to go about resawing in a way that avoids the timber curling like a banana once it’s cut.

Cheers
31 March 2014 at 12:07 am #42343I think there is quite a few of us that struggle with bigger projects with the spaces we have available to us.
Most of our benches are on a wall so we cannot over hang the work piece across bench. Like Paul dose in videos. I would have to rig something outside. The British weather what it is is another problem.
I struggled with the gate I just made but it was doable.
A chair would be nice not that I need one.I think a Windsor chair a little on the big side though.
Maybe a nice wall cabinet incorporate a bit of glass.
I have always wanted to make a little D table with a little draw in front and some nice tapered legs. All with a bit of inlay/ veneer work.31 March 2014 at 7:39 am #42801Paul mentions the next project in his blog today.

31 March 2014 at 5:56 pm #43439As Steve has said, Paul tell us his next project in his Blog. Paul writes daily and provides incredible insight into his thinking and long-term planning. His latest Writing from Sunday gives us a look at the sofa table project as well as a couple of projects down the road. I am really excited about this because he is showing us critical design aspects that one only gets by working with a Master.
