Hi Folks,
I usually don’t have much to say here in the forums, but I wanted to let folks know that currently, at least in my area, the local Lowe’s has their files on clearance. I picked up quite a few made in the USA Nicholson files for $3-4 each. They didn’t have any for sharpening saws, but had plenty for various other tasks. I picked up a few handles as well $1.74 each, but made in China. I could make my own, but I don’t have the time or extra materials to make my own.
Most of them are medium to coarse and they offered single and double cut. I think the single cut files, I need to watch Joseph’s video again, could be used to remove the burrs from scrapers.
Anyway if you think you might need some flat files check them out and hopefully save a few bucks.
Lastly, if I posted this in the wrong forum, please feel free to move the thread.
