Oak bowl and spoon

I made this little bowl (it’s only about 120mm in diameter) to try out my new hollowing scraper. It certainly does make hollowing much, much easier.
The spoon I made yesterday from a small scrap of oak, just because it was there and I had nothing else to do.

Very nice indeed. How soon before you start getting requests for sets of six from family and friends I wonder 🙂
Ha, the joke would be on them then, since (a) I’m terrible at doing repeatable work on the lathe, and (b) I’m also terrible at working to somebody else’s specifications. 😀
