Im working in Africa and have been talking with some of the local jointers. They have shown me a wood they use for carvings. It is very orange in color. Orange not the red of mahagony. It works very well with hand tools, especially carving. They claim it cures very hard. In the local Dinka language it is know as Geer. Anyone familiar with this wood?
