Well Salko you asked to see some photos
From the left is a new chess table it’s PS occasional table but cut legs down so it can sit on a coffee table and added a drawer on top are is the chess board it’s held in place by 4 magnets that are hidden in the top setting on it are some of my current chess men. Next is a bible box it’s about half done then a PS clock some turnings and a candle stand the round pieces just sit on holes and they can all hole candles, last is a cross for a bible box I am just starting, on the wall is three of my six bow sawsAttachments:

27 December 2015 at 12:06 am #133446Yes this is a new style I took the PS OCCASIONAL Table and just cut the legs down I also have made it with turned legs and the original tapered legs. I keep the chessboard separate it’s held in place with magnets and will fit in a slide under the draws on most styles this let’s the table be more versatile.I think the other table you noted is the photo I posted a few months ago I have eight different tables that I build, as for chess men I have about 12 styles the most popular is a copy of President Cleveland,s that he kept in the white house in the photo it’s the one with. A round ball sitting on a pillar I have made a hundred or more of that set they are a pain to turn, a lot of small details especially the king and queen too get one I may turn three. The 3 D. Are styled after common land marks like the set for California the king is a tower of the Golden Gate and the queen is a lion on a pillar statue I have five sets like that one on London and one on Rome they all sell well but I find its best to only show a few at a time.. But until I get a new lathe it’s a none subject. Can’t turn that stuff on my midi or the pole lathe. I want a Robust but that is a lot of dollars, so I will get the two horsepower Powermatic turning is my big thing I LOVE to turn.
There is a freedom and I find it more creative after all my first degree is in fine art. I love letting the wood decide what it wants to be. The second photo is a gift from a son a very old and heavy mallet and a 11/2 round. It’s a beast.[attachment file=”20151225_150601.jpg”]
