Hi all,
I recently renovated an old dovetail saw and had to replace the brass screws and caps that hold the handle on.
I was recommended the following from Thomas Flinn & Co, which I purchased and used:

However, I don’t think they look as nice as the originals which are much flatter and a bit wider. Has anyone found nice replacement brass screws and caps for saw restoration that match the original style, like this one?
Cheers,
Hi Chris,

Thanks Serhiy, I should have mentioned that I was looking for a supplier on the UK. Postage from across the pond is likely to be more than the screws themselves!
Chris,
I’ve had success at flea markets here in the U.S. (not sure what they are called in the U.K.) with finding real junker panel saws (broken handles, bent and kinked blades) for a couple of dollars and buying them for the saw nuts. The blades can sometimes be reused as scrapers, or to practice sharpening. Hope this helps.
