Hi Lizard, I’m no expert but I’m using Tassie Oak which is often Victorian ash or commonly called K.D Hardwood (Kiln Dried hardwood). Big box stores have it as do smaller supplies. It’s certainly strong enough. Spotted Gum would be nice too if you have a supplier, mind you Spotted Gum is quite hard as many natives are.
