Welcome! / Forums / Project Series / Plywood Workbench / Sacrilege: a workbench for my CNC
My “fun with machines” project this year is to build a PrintNC CNC machine. I’ve also started exploring woodworking with hand tools thanks to Paul’s work (among other things). Since I need a workbench on which to build then setup the CNC, I figured the plywood workbench structure would make for a great, rigid, vibration-damping option! I’m going to build it to be 1575x1100mm.
This is my first serious project in plywood, beyond simple bench tops on dimensional lumber and a couple of shelves. So far I’ve broken down my ply into all the required parts, and just assembled my first top rail. Some struggles as I’ve worked out some of the nuances of keeping track of registration faces, etc, but it’s going well!
