Mortises look neat Sandy. Did you use a chisel guide?
I still chop free hand I suppose what I am use to.24 May 2014 at 5:06 pm #57520Your off to a good start Sandy. I use the guide all the time too. I would rather be sure that I’m dead square. I don’t use it on through mortises though. Those I chop free hand, check and correct if need be.
24 May 2014 at 9:27 pm #57528The guide is a good idea. Perhaps I am confidant enough to do without guide or maybe just a little lazy.
Mark, I’m just a little more comfortable with the guide for now. It’s easy to fix he ends of the mortice if it’s off a bit but the other way can be difficult.
Not much done in the table today. My wife says I have some other projects that need to be finished…. :-(. But we gotta keep mama happy.
