I have picked up many saws (mainly Disstons) over the years. A few of them need a new handle and I wanted some opinions on what kind of wood to use.

Hi Brent,
Apple was among Disston’s usual handle materials (Quite often fruit woods) and is perhaps a good starting point when re-handling one.
