    I have just tried these scalpels for marking out some dovetails. I like them a lot. Nominated by Peter Sefton as the one tool he couldn’t be without, the Swann-Morton Sheffield made stainless steel scalpel is a classic piece of design. They are not expensive, much cheeper than my Stanley  knife, my weapon of choice from now on.

    Yep I have one. Get no. 11 blades little bit longer than no.5 better for getting between narrow pins for dovetails.

    No 4 scalpel with a No 26 blade works great for me

    Think your right Ken that 26 looks longer than  No. 11 have to look into that thanks.
