    Single cut mill file Fine or second cut. I thought this would be easy to find, oh boy was I wrong I found some Bastard cut, not sure if they will be any good for cabinet scrapers though. Nothing is easy in the UK

    Hey Ken
    Check out axminster. They have a pretty good range of files. I picked up a single mill file from thee a little while back for jointing my saws.

    Mark I think I have tried them all mate. I can get single cut in a Bastard file.

    But all the second cut and fine cut, are double cut files.

    That’s what I’m saying Mark, I can get it in a bastard cut but not in second or fine cut.

    Think Bastard cut bit course I’m using a double second cut Like I said I’m no expert on files.
    and your right Ken cannot get a single cut second or smooth. I even looked at Bahco catalogue and single mill only intended for USA strange well thats what I could make of it. Knowing me probably read wrong.

    Ken…I have a 10″ single cut bastard file and I use it for everything. It leaves a nice smooth finish on wood and I used it this morning to sharpen my card scraper per Joseph’s video. Worked great.

    Bahco are pretty good files good hard steel
