9 August 2013 at 4:27 pm #16386Hey, this is a great resource you are providing. Thanks so much.
I’ve been wondering why drawings aren’t provided for these projects. Maybe your work will nudge Paul into adding some drawings for the projects.
14 August 2013 at 9:17 pm #16574I had offered to do sketch up files for each project gratis but it never panned out.
14 August 2013 at 9:49 pm #16575Thanks Patrick. I had not thought that you meant for all future projects. I am maxed out most of the time and nudges, whilst always a welcome reminder, don’t always do that much when that’s the state of things. I will talk to everyone here and see where we want to go with this.
Thanks Robin, for taking the initiative there. I am still undecided where I really want the tails and the pins in relation the main box, but as the vids are this way, so too should be the drawings. I have a box made in the USA in the month-long here in the Castle now. i did the dovetails differently and like the way they looked too.
Whilst I am here; Thanks to everyone for filling in the blanks and gaps and making woodworking masterclasses the success it is. People came on my recent courses in the USA (and earlier ones in the UK) that use woodworkingmasterclasses for their personal training and they really proved to me that these videos and the YouTube videos are WORKING!
Now that they have been on the course I am hoping that they will continue to create the pieces and go through the training to increase their skills and perhaps create their portfolio for establishing themselves as woodworkers and furniture makers.I had offered to do sketch up files for each project gratis but it never panned out.
Hey Patrick, do you have a sketchup for the coffee table project? I would love to have a copy if you do, or you were willing to make one.

21 August 2013 at 8:15 pm #16858I don’t at the moment but I could knock one up for you easily enough.
I’ll get onto it in a bit, I’ve got a pile of draughting to do and a half installed dishwasher to finish off. Oh the joy of 1950’s in situ cabinetry 🙁
21 August 2013 at 8:19 pm #16859Paul,
I know you’re very busy so I just figured you had the bloke in NY doing them if needed. I didn’t want to add to your plate by pestering you about it.

21 August 2013 at 9:03 pm #16869Sketchup 8 has a free version and a “Pro” version. There is a pretty awesome book and a DVD out there “Sketchup for Woodworkers” from Taunton press. Not sure if you can get them both together or not, but I have the book and it is very helpful. You can also search on Youtube for how-to vids.

I got started using Sketchup with Matthias Wandel’s tutorials. The link is …
