Started a new project; a small – coffee – table (in spruce).
This is – more or less – the shape of the legs.
Making the curved surfaces has been – at least up to now – one of the most enjoyable parts of the project.
Have a nice day!
P.S. the leg won’t be so high! 🙂 The table will be ~50cm or ~55cm high.
Some details.
(In one of the attached images you can see a very, very specific tool for sanding… It’s a snow spray can!)
Thank you, Dborn and Dave!
The legs are now nearly completed (edges still need to be smoothed).
Next step: the cross rail to link the legs.
Beautiful work, thanks for sharing. I’m getting better but I’m not that exact yet…
Thank you, Andy, for encouraging me!
I’m a beginner and I’m still improving my skills.
I’ve just completed the cross rail to link the legs and I’ve put all the parts together for the first time. I think they’re ok.
Next step: the wedges.
I like how this is coming together Emilio. It puts me in mind of Japanese trestles. The wedged rail is a nice touch. Clean, tight work so far. This will be a nice table.

Thank you, Greg and John!
Greg, you’re right; it’s a small trestle table.
I like very much trestle tables, because they have an ancient, “medieval” “warmth”…
Added the wedges; they have a very simple shape.
Mortises have a sloping side.
Next step: all edges need to be smoothed/rounded…
Sturdy looking table and a neat job.
Well done Emilio.

Thank you, AntĂłnio. Thank you, Mark.
I’ve completed the legs and the cross rails.
I’ll use the top cross rails to screw the table top.
Well done job, looking very nice, precisely fitted.
Thanks for sharing it.
