Hello there,
I thought I’d share my solution to working without a workshop.
I used a No 55 vise although I reckon a 52 would also work.
It’s 600mm deep so the vise projects over the work surface. I works for small projects but I wouldn’t recommend thumping mortices too often.
When I grow up, I might get a shed.

Nice use of your available space. I think setting up a workshop is always a compromise of some sort. Rest assured that how ever much space you get, you’ll always want more.
Cheers
I guess that’s one way to get more fiber in your diet. A little sawdust in your morning cereal … mmmmm.
Seriously, I love that. You have to do what works for you. I once saw an article about someone who set up a tiny “shop” in a bathroom.
