Nice job Greg. 😉
Have you tapered legs or have you just shaped bottom of legs.
I am not far behind you with my mini sofa table.
I have got a little issue with one of my angled shoulders little off think I can fix though.
It very hard to do things smaller.
The lantern project should be a good test.
Mark…I just shaped the lower portion of the legs same as in the Bench Stool project. Smaller does seem to always be more difficult. But I’m sure you will bring it all together in the end.
Sandy…thank you.
Tables are finally completed. This build seemed to take forever but I’m glad that I did it. I’m happy with the way that they turned out. I need to buy some tinted wax for the tops and shelves. I used clear wax and ended up with some typical white streaks where the grain holds onto the wax. Other than that these tables are ready for the house.
Just to recap:
1. Poplar legs and pine rails
2. Red oak tops
3. The base assembly received barn red milk paint, buffed with steel wool and then shellac
4. The tops and shelves received dark brown Transtint dye, burnished with bees wax and the polissoir.
5. All received a couple coats of paste wax.
Thanks for looking and thanks to @paul-sellers for showing me how to build them.
Very well done Greg) Thank you for posting and inspiration) Great project)
Cheers
