Hi
Does anybody know which mallet it is that Paul uses for assembling.
I have the Thorex 712 38mm with the white nylon heads, are there rubber heads that will screw into this malletTnanks

Regards,31 July 2014 at 8:20 pm #59937Thanks guys that is great I will get a rubber replacement head and have one soft and hard head in my mallet. When assembling the corner unit I have found that the nylon heads are marking the soft pine
12 August 2014 at 12:11 pm #60275I could not find any local shop that stocked the soft replacement heads and although the heads were on the internet at under £2 the postage was twice that. So in the end I bought a forge Steel white 16 oz rubber mallet from screwfix for £4.99
12 August 2014 at 10:18 pm #60309Hi David white rubber mallets ok but a bit more clumsy in tighter places and do not have the same amount of clout.
I have a couple of those white rubber mallets but prefer the Thor hammer as it can be two tools in one and if gentle can use plastic side on harder woods.
I still prefer my carpenters or carving mallet for use on a chisel.
It is hard to justify postage that cost more than item but when ever I’m on a tool site always end up buying more than I should. 🙁 -
