A lot of moulding planes I picked up just recently at a garage sale; four pairs of larger sizes of hollows and rounds, an unmatched round, a shoulder/rebate, a simple ogee, and a couple of beads. Also a coffin smoother sans iron as a throw in which should actually prove to be useable if I can scare up an iron for it.
Hi Cpetersenl
Where are you at? Iam looking for some H/R,s lam in south Jersey. I have irons or can make one for you.If you are to far off I will post my E mail adress and explain how to make them. When you find out its a Da its very simple no harding needed, and very strong sharp irons. As for H r,s Iam looking for 1/2 in. Or less. I need to get one set to use as samples.
Thanks
Frankj
Hey, Frank. I am in Michigan. Finding/making an iron for the coffin smoother isn’t really that much an issue, the time for it is the real problem 🙂
Anyway, you can find a hollow/round pair fairly cheap on ebay, or sometimes you can get lucky at a garage/estate sale. Thanks for offering to help and hope you find what you need!
