Hi,
I am close to finishing my spring pole lathe. The last thing to do is building the tool rest. I am really struggling with a decent solution. I found a nice one by dblaney but he is using wooden screws and I can’t do that at the moment. I am trying to avoid metal screws as well.
Any ideas?
Florian Tim’s suggestion seams to be the best solution that I have found as well. Sure would love to see some photos of this lathe.
Greg, I have to earn some food over the weekend but on tuesday I’ll post a few pictures. It was again a good learning project.
It’s been in my mind ever since I watched the woodwright shop last winter. I made the main frame last march but “had” to finish so many other things before I decided to finish it last week. I am looking forward to use it. Then I need an anvil to forge my own turning tools…
I guess I can wait until Tuesday, this time. But you need to get your priorities straight. 😉
Look forward to seeing the lathe.
