I just cannot help myself.
Bought another set of chisels Stanley sweetheart socket chisels, the knife that Paul Sellers uses and a new premium 9 1/2 block plane.
Think Stanley has realised that there is a bit of a revival going on with hand tools, and is loosing out L-N, L-V, clifton, and even Woodriver /Quansheng.
Stanley premium tools are a bit dearer but still cheaper than others.
L-N chisels are base on Stanley original socket chisels.
Have not told her indoors yet.
21 April 2013 at 6:59 pm #11203Oh boy, lol. I had a discussion with a friend the other day about what would happen to all my “stuff” in the event of my demise. I figure somebody is going to be loading up on some real bargains, since my wife has no clue of the actual value of the tools and lumber I have stockpiled. I guess that is one reason she hasn’t kicked me out of the house yet, she doesn’t have the time or energy to take all my stuff to the curb.

If you survive after telling your good lady, please let me know how you find them. <img src=’https://woodworkingmasterclasses.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif’ alt=’;)’ class=’wp-smiley’ />[/quote]

30 April 2013 at 10:51 pm #11450Bank holiday and a day off coming up, hope I am not too tired after weekend work. I hope to get some time maybe to make small box something anything so frustrating getting no time to do anything.
30 April 2013 at 11:34 pm #11453Looking forward to your thoughts on the Stanley chisels. I have an unhealthy attraction to socket chisels.
