The grandbaby came to stay this weekend and I showed her the spoons that I’ve been carving…she was not impressed. What else can you carve?, she asks. So off I go to the shop and make my best effort to carve a dog…she likes dogs. It was a hit, I let her paint it and helped a little. She is very proud of her new dog. No store bought toy could bring that kind of satisfaction…for her or myself. So get out and do something with and/or for a child in your life…there is nothing like it.
