Quangsheng No. 1 Bailey Pattern Smoothing Plane
This is what Matthew had to say,
Ideal for young woodworkers with small hands the No.1 is likely to become a collectable of the future. We don’t expect to sell vast numbers of them but if we can do anything to help young woodworkers persevere with the craft then it will be well worth a little investment.Sole dimensions 150mm x 40mm
3mm thick 1-1/5inch (30mm) blade made from T10 carbon steel hardened to RC63.
I think It’s great 🙂

Anonymous13 December 2012 at 8:45 pm #4748I’m going to have to wait a short while before ordering 🙁 , but should be able to sneek one by the radar next week and give it a test drive (Purely in the interests of safety and scientific research) before I order one for my grandson 😉 😀

Hi Juryaan,
I truly think I’m lucky. Mrs P (aka The Boss or SWMBO) knew what she was getting herself into when we visited a woodworking show during our honeymoon 😀 , but oh how I know what you mean when speaking of daughters and their interests. I have three daughters and each in turn preferred nail varnish and shoes rather than woodwork, but thankfully my son chose the opposite direction 🙂
