tool chest project, hinge issue

Hello All,
I am nearing completion of the tool chest project and have run into an issue with the hinges. The lid will not close completely. There is a 1/2″ gap in th front which tapers to 0 gap as we approach the rear.
Are my hinges recessed too much or not enough? Thanks and Merry Christmas to all.
