    I had completely forgotten about this until your post Robin.  But, I saw this video …I don’t know how long ago …it was a while.

    I subscribe to this guys youtube channel just because he does some unusual stuff.  He’s not your ordinary woodworker.

    This is the guy with the pantorouter. It’s incredibly accurate but it’s a machine. He cuts round mortise and tenon joints and it sounds like releasing a suction cup when he takes the tenon out of the mortise.

    I enjoy working wood in Germany.

    Matthias Wandel is pretty amazing. He is a “machinist”  who MAKES his own machines in a quietly inventive yet frugal manner, using impressive engineering sensibility. Always inquisitive and demonstrative. Major props for that.

    The toolbox hinge is clever, but there are other ways to skin that cat. Like a fold-away handle perhaps?

    Scott, he is indeed very clever. I think his father was the professional woodworker and he is the woodworking engineer.

    I enjoy working wood in Germany.

    I just checked his Youtube channel and got sucked into his home-made band-saw. I was so amazed by it on a  whim I paid £13 for the plans to build it.

    I can’t wait to build my own freaking band-saw!!!

    Hahahah, yeah, I get caught up in some of his stuff too.

    After I posted that link above, I realized Robin original post was on his web site!  🙂  Prior to that, I’ve only seen his youtube channel.
