About 8 months ago I placed an order with Phil Edwards (Philly Planes, in England) for a couple of molding planes. When they arrived I decided to create an unboxing and review video of the two planes.
I make test moldings with the mini panel raiser and 1/8″ side beading plane. The beading plane is then disassembled for a closer inspection of the body and iron.
Watch in 1080 quality for best ‘inspection’ viewing.
Wow, Marty, very nice moulding planes. They do a marvelous job with very clean cuts. You should get a lot of enjoyment out of them.
Great looking planes! I have been wanting a Moving Fillister from him, but I can’t justify the cost at this point. Maybe some day though….
thanks for sharing Marty, great video enjoy them, i look forward to seeing them used in a project
Really interesting, Marty. Thanks for the info. I know you’ll have a huge smile every time you get the perfect bead or raised panel shape!
Thanks for that Marty, informative video I think you have just increased the 8 month lead-time
