Is there anyone on this forum from Italy? If so, where do you purchase quality air dried lumber in Italy? Do you know of any quality website located within the European Community that ships to Italy, maybe?
I appreciate being in the US when I read posts like these. I can’t believe how hard it is for our friends in the EU and Australia to get good lumber.
If I recall, Paul gets at least some of his lumber shipped from Poland. I can’t find where I saw that, though.
I used to live in the US, for many years, @delong1974, so I perfectly know what you mean. I wasn’t into woodworking back then, unfortunately, but I remember how easy it was to find anything you wanted for your house at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. not to mention the amazing number of online options you must have for sure as well 🙂
The U.S. Is smart it’s self sufficient and reliant while the rest of the globe sells itself off to the highest bidder exhausting its resources and re importing what it sells off driving the prices through the roof. The U.S. Is a land of opportunity a place where dreams still even in this day in age you could make it big. The only downside to the U.S. Is your on your own, the govt. will not support you, no free medical without insurance your up the creek. But I believe if one really wanted to succeed in the U.S. One could. I cannot say the same for the rest of the globe.
Went to a local lumber yard – they only had pine, so I got 3 boards to start practicing, each 4m long, 15cm wide, 15mm thick… 22euros………. 🙁
