Ende,
The workbench is great. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I especially liked the ones that show the bolts as I am curious of what to buy when I complete my workbench.
P.S. I also made a lefty shooting board… it was great practice for the permanent one..
@mmoreno610 I actually only used one bolt out of four I had. My aprons were a little bit too short to be bolted to their respective legs with enough room for the bolts.
For three out of four legs, I used a pair of screws each.
If you’re in the US, and you’re using Paul’s YouTube series as a guide for your workbench, you really have to take into account, that the 2x4s in the UK are actually 2x4s, while in the US, you get somewthing like 1.5×3.5, with rounded edges.
So when Paul uses six 2x4s in his video, probably you should use eight, to compensate for the difference in sizes. For the legs, I would probably laminate three 2x4s on my next bench, to make them beefier, or maybe even use 2×6, and laminate three.
Thanks Ende,
I bought the cheap framing lumber with the round edges so I’ve planed plenty.
I’ll use the bolts since I want to be able to take it apart for mobility.
Once again, enjoy your bench.
