26 December 2013 at 6:01 pm #24570You will also need a good pair of eyes. So some magnifiers would be handy good light also a fine saw setting pliers.
Somax do a set for over 10 tpi and another for under 10tp.26 December 2013 at 9:25 pm #24586Hi Adrian
If you have a look at the How to sharpen handsaw Video i posted in Woodworking Videos I think you will find a lot of answers to your questions. It is a long Video but well worth a look26 December 2013 at 10:06 pm #24591Hello fellows, I’ve just used two Bahco 4-190-08-2-2 200mm, http://www.toolstop.co.uk/bahco-4-190-08-2-2-double-ended-sawfile-8in-handled-p23596, trying to recut to 13tpi. Both blunted quickly & easily but these were probably the wrong files. Anyone ever recut teeth on Disstons #4, mine is disappearing slowly? I was thinking of using a needle file to start/ transfer the cut. What file did you use David? I have one Somax 6in left!
