The white plastic template was a demonstration of how versatile that particular plastic can be for replicating patterns. Good-luck find it.
I think its best reserved for production-lines or classrooms – where you’re producing the same item over and again. Apparently its suited to marking long sweeping curves but most of us would just use a flex-curve or cut a cardboard/paper/ply template.
Paul generally advocates making your own Dovetail Template. You can always use a Sliding Bevel for dovetails of course.
I think this was one of Paul’s “Filler” episodes, while he was on tour in The States.
We’ll probably see that episode offered to everyone for free on YouTube in a couple of months.
