Firstly hi.
Took up woodworking last year just as a hobby. Picked up some logs left from cutting down 3 years earlier. Just short trunk sections – sitting in garage for 9 months. Out of curiosity I split one last month’s and rough planed a few pieces. In the surrounding area there are sycamore, ash, Rowan, silver birch and apple. Embarrassingly I can’t even remember what it looked like but I don’t recall whirligigs, fruit or petalled flowers.
Some pics attached including bark.
Grateful for anything but it’s not crucial. 😉

Don’t bother 😉 It doesn’t really matter what it is for an internal project. It’s hardish, not bad looking and I’ll just call it sycamore anyway.
Might do a panel guage, knob n tote and a lid for something for starters.
