I am following the YouTube workbench series. I’ve glued up the tops, aprons and well board. Working with hand planes, I’ve really become envious of the square cornered European style 2×4 Mr Sellers used in the video. The American rounded corners make substantially more planing. I’ve had a bit of an issue with the aprons, made from 8′ 2×4 stock. They have turned out to be very twisted. When placed on a flat surface, the diagonal corners stick up in the air 1/3rd of an inch. Is this going to be an issue, or will the twists flatten once the apron is attached to the bench? If it is an issue, is it worth tackling, or should I junk the 2 aprons and well and start over?
Thanks for the advice,
Josh
Yes, I can press the high ends and it will flatten. So I should just flatten the apron face that meets the rest of the bench and continue as normal?
