I was really skeptical at first I thought there was no way a no.4 could flatten a board and lo and behold it bloody well did. I also like the clamping in the vice to plane I’ve never been able to get such perfectly flat board before and I mean perfectly flat as if it’s come off the thicknesser with the added benefits of no ridges.
I believe it’s the pressure that’s applied on the sides that the plane creates a very small hollow in the middle. I finish it off with a couple of passes out of the vice and presto a completely flat uniform thicknessed board.
I’m so glad I became a premium member I would of still been struggling with this.
Thank you Paul
