Thanks for the info about your experience with cedar. I wonder what about the material that makes it dull edges and fracture so easily. I’ll have a dig around in my books and see what I can find.

In case you haven’t already figured it out, Paul has done plenty of other vids with sections on how to prep your wood into one big flat piece. There’s a good one on the recent chest of drawers build (early 2017).

george8 February 2018 at 7:55 am #464572So far, no taste affected. But it’s only being used for bread. However, it seems to be giving off very little smell at this point and only really gave off scent when being sawed during its prep.
