Gallery Goodness, 26th May 2017

It is hot, hot, hot in the workshop today. You can tell that summer is here because Paul has been outside with the BBQ. I was hoping for hotdogs, but it turned out that he was conditioning steel.

We’ve had a whole lot of interesting pictures uploaded over the last couple of weeks and I have just caught up with popping them in the gallery. Check out the latest bunch below!

3 pine boxes, the taller is oak and pine. Thus begins my journey. I had thougtht to wait until retirement to begin woodworking due to space constraints. Following Paul I’ve learned I can create with my hands with a minimum of tools and space; all that’s needed is a little creativity along with instruction and confidence.

BENCH STOOL BY JOSH JENKINSON

BENCH STOOL BY JOSH JENKINSON

This was made as a guitar stool from oak (railway sleeper timber) and walnut for the middle part of the seat. The most challenging part of the build was the 7 degree angle on two planes for the legs. I cut these using a home made mitre box with both a 7 degree slope and 7 degree angle on the fence.
