yes I got your videos. I have carefully watched them and compared to mine and do not see any difference. It confirmed I put the vice together in the right way, visually there does not seem to be any difference in the spring tension.

What I have noticed when inspecting the screw when I run finger along the thread if feel “sharper” for the touch towards the far end of the screw. I will try to measure the wear with a feeler gauge when i get back from work.
