The activity link at the top of the page is very handy for seeing new additions to conversations. Is it possible to get an activity list that does not show all of the new registrations?
If it isn’t possible right now, then maybe “Activity” can be a drop down, like Gallery and Forums, and there could be “Activity” as a header and two entries under it, “Conversations,” and “New members?”
How’d I not notice the filter up there? The classification of activities is a bit too fine grained for my thinking, but, it’s probably not worth reprogramming and the subtleties are probably there because they help someone else. For example, I’m not quite sure of the utility of differentiating comments and replies or the difference between posts and topics.
The filter helps a lot, actually. Thanks!
The thing to keep in mind that the /activity page is the activity for the site, not the forum. So you can filter out the comment on videos from replies to forum topics
Hi guys,
Yeah, I am not sure that the user registration information is that useful for anyone. I have added a snippet of code this evening that stops user registrations from being saved to the site activity page. So, in future this information won’t be shown.
Hopefully this will mean the activity page is less ‘clogged’.
Best,
Joseph
It’s nice seeing all the new folks signing up, but yeah it clogged the activity page up quite a bit.
