Auger bit with bent lip

Hi,
Looks like I’ve dropped my auger bit and it’s lip is all bent out (0.5 mm from end). Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Ouch!
I assume you mean the spur on an auger bit.
You could try hammering it gently back into line with a small brass mallet, but you always risk cracking or breaking it if it hasn’t cracked already..
But you might get lucky. Auger bits aren’t tempered all that hard so they can be filed to sharpen.
