Welcome! / Forums / Project Series / Carrying Tote / cedar and pine garden tool totes
finished a couple over past two weekends, the cedar is 5/4 decking, with heavily rounded edges all 4 sides. there are small gaps where the square cut dado meets the rounded edges but being 5/4 thick the is plenty of flat glue area so i went with it. all thats left is a clear outdoor finish. cedar is so spft it will dent but i figure it will add character.
Nice, the tool tote is one my list of projects. I also thought to make it as a garden tote, since Spring is coming.
Both looking good, Brian. That 5/4 material will be heavy, but sturdy.
Yes the 5/4 is a bit heavy. went back and found some 5/8 x6 x8 foot fencing boards at Lowes. Did another one out of that and i like that better more plus the dont have the radiused edge. My wife had the great idea to put 3 small plant pots in them ( or some other planter to fit) and give them as gifts for upcoming Mothers day. Awesome idea i thought, will post pics when we get them done.
