Hi all,
I picked up a set of Axminster Rider chisels that Paul blogged about a while back.

They are an upgrade from my box store plastic handles but the side bevels are giving me dozens of small cuts on my fingers.
I could take sandpaper to them but I want to make sure this is the right solution before I do it. The cuts happen when I’m paring and working on delicate work that requires handling the metal portion of the chisels. My hands are semi-calloused.
Thanks for you thoughts,
Jon
Cutting yourself is too sharp.
round the edges on the flat side slightly. Keep in mind that as you sharpen, the very end that forms the edge should not be rounded, and as you sharpen and flatten you will fighting gettin sharp on the corners, so go easy,
Round the edges on the bevel side at much as you like.
