After watching a video by Paul, I know to get these Silverline sash clamps: http://www.silverlinetools.com/en-GB/Products/Woodwork/Clamps%20and%20Cramps/VC63
I’m not sure about other smaller clamps though. Could someone recommend some to me please?
I was thinking of getting these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Quick-Grip-Irwin-59100-Adjustable-Release/dp/B0000DD5XV
Any advice would be appreciated
Thank you

As for smaller clamps for light work I quite like the quick action clamps you can get from Screwfix etc, the ones that are like a a caulking gun.
Cheers

[quote quote=137030]I have a couple of the Irwin quick grip clamps that you show in your second link and do not recommend them. They have zero gripping power. I never use them.

Thanks for the warning Ed.5 May 2016 at 6:17 pm #137038Yeah, those Irwin ratchet clamps are only good for holding two sheets of paper together. The Irwin bar clamps and spring clamps are good enough for small projects, though.
11 May 2016 at 10:54 pm #137166Derek I agree with you about the Irwins. I did buy the cheap aluminum clamps like Paul used from HF and did the modifications and am impressed with them so far.
I reach for those more so than my Bessy K Body mainly because of the weight.
