First ever dovetail for me

Maybe it was a good idea to practise dovetails before making one on my workbench…

Length of tail was a simple logic mistake I just didn’t bother to fix…
Did a second attempt on that same tail. This was much better. It actually resembles something like a dovetail.

Hi Jukka
I really like that you posted photos of work that was not perfect, but improving. We always see everyone’s perfect work posted proudly everywhere. Without physical classmates around, its nice to be reminded that others also have to practice to get things right.

Hi all, added a few more pics about my 3rd attempt. Feels like I’m actually making progress 🙂
This one is a bit loose for selfclamping, because my tail was a bit crooked and I had to make it slightly slimmer right in the end. Aguess, I have to make one more pins piece attempt to see if I can make it properly tight.
I think I could soon make the real deal on my workbench 🙂
