Footstool

I built this a while back, was really my first project with hand tools only after finding Paul’s YouTube videos but before I signed up for master classes. Recycled maple skid wood (complete with nail holes and imperfect edges) and dowel pinned M&T. Just Danish oil for finish. Have made another out of pine since, but I think the hardwood seems more stable even though that one was pinned too.
Thanks – I used a piece if 3/4 ply, then a 2″ thick foam, then 1″ batting, then covered with the fabric,, wrapped and folded the corners and used staples to attach underneath. I glued some strips underneath and predrilled some holes for screws to secure from the inside/ underside into the plywood.
