I’m restoring an old handsaw and need to replace the bolt and split nut. Does anyone know where to get this at a reasonable cost? Or a good substitute? Thanks for any reply.
Hi,
You could try here:
Thomas Flinn & Co
I’ve ordered saw screws and nuts from them before and they seem really helpful.
Best regards,
Two Guys in a Garage ( that’s the name of the company) makes 1/2″ split nuts and 3/4″ medallions for about $7 each. The medallion has a recess so you can get creative with a custom insert.
